We´ve updated the 2009 news from July until December with new and nice pictures, as well as with some article about our experiences at the most importants shows in Europe and US.
This 2010 we can announce our new web page. It was one of our proposed projects at the beginning of 2009 and has finally arrived. It has taken us a fair amount of time as we are not computer wiz kids and didn’t have much spare time to spend on. It’s still not 100% finished but thought we’d publish it so you could all start enjoying it. It will be fully functional very shortly, so we’re sorry for any errors that occur or page that doesn’t open correctly.
Now in 2010 and looking back on 2009 we can say it’s been a very positive year for us, we can’t complain. Nacho became at the beginning of 2009 the first dog bred in Spain to get the American Championship, in only 4 days, and also the first to win a Group in that country. He won the Working Class Group and also was classed as the Best Bred By Exhibitor ( dog presented by its breeder ) and Owner-Handler ( presented by its owner ). Nacho isn’t our first American Champion, it’s the 4yh, but he is the first bred by us.
Google, Nacho’s brother, won two of three Specialties of the Newfoundland Spanish Club. He got two Best in Show, the first one at the International dog show in Girona (Spain) in March and the second one at the National dog show that took place in Murcia (Spain), and ended the year as the 2009 TOP NEWFOUNDLAND in Spain.
Our Wyatt won the Novice Class at the Newfoundland National Specialty in USA that took place in April in Frankemuth, Michigan.
Nacho carried on in July winning the Open Class at the Danish Gold Cup and qualifying 2nd Best Male of the day allowing him to enter, for the third consecutive year, the Gold Cup Final. He also won the Danish Championship.
We also won the Best of Breed in two of the three dog show of the Spanish Championship (mandatory point). Nacho won the Breed at the Spanish Championship in Talavera de la Reina and his brother Google won the Breed at the Spanish Championship in Badajoz.
"Quiz Show Del Basaburua" owned by Eduardo Acosta won the Best In Show Junior and was 4th in the Adult Group at the Winter Mexican Circuit in 2009.
It also fills us with joy to see our sons’ dogs are doing so well. Two of the sons of Show have been American Champions. Another one has been Luxembourg Champion Junior. Ipso, Nacho’s son, bred in Belgium by Mary & Mika, achieved the World Hope and Best Puppy at the World Championship held in Bratislava, Slovakia. Snow, Nacho’s son, was Bundersiegger Junior, in Dortmund, Germany. Aaron, Google’s son, won the Junior Group at the National dog show in Murcia (Spain). And Brunyld, daughter of Nacho, bred by our French friends Frank & Celine, won the Spanish Championship point and Best Female at the International dog show in Badajoz. A month later she finished the Spanish championship. Brunyld also won the French championship point in June in Paris.
And as a great end of year, Nacho was the first Spanish bred Newfoundland to become 2009 World Champion and also won the Best of Breed at the World Dog Show that took place in Bratislava, Slovakia, a competition with another 164 newfoundlands. We were double happy, as father and son won in a World Championship, Nacho and Ipso…..it was incredible!!!! That day will always stay in our memory.
We can’t forget about Congo, Pola, Haku, Ginger and Zoe who are all working in lifesaving and also combining it with beauty contests. Congo and Pola already have their first lifesaving degree. Carry on on like that guys, you’re incredible!!!.
A great 2009 that’s already left us and will be very difficult to equal but that has made us begin this 2010 with new projects, and renewed illusions to work to better the breed. One of these illusions we’ve put all our heart on is the new litter of one of our bitches with "Marquee" "Ch. USA Kodiak Acres Name In Bright Lights" owned by Mario & Sheila Luca. We’d really like to thank Sheila for trusting our dogs and us and wanting to works together with us...... for us it’s something that cannot be paid with money. Thank you so much Sheila!!!!
